The boys are back! The varsity and junior varsity boys soccer teams have started their seasons and are off to a rough start. Led by their coach, Ms. Davis, the boys have a 1-5-1 record. However, this minor setback is not stopping them from looking forward to a great season.
Last year the boys were conference champions, and this year with six seniors on the team they plan to make it as far as they can to defend their title and work even harder on a regional and state level. The team hopes to have as many students come out and support and cheer them to victory, coach Davis said, “We always want as many eagles to come support because that’s what pushes the team to try even harder!” All home games are held at Gage Park and are played on Mondays and Wednesdays. When asked about the season so far Davis continues, “We have great players on the team this year and I believe we’ll make a comeback. Junior Joshua Teague, varsity captain, shows great leadership skills and is not only supportive but enthusiastic in pushing the team. I believe that we will see great things from the team as well as the JV team this year.” While we wait to see the outcome of their season staff and students know it will be something to talk about. Good luck, Eagles!
