Lindblom's baseball team won 18 games and lost only 3 last season. With the basketball team also on a sudden rise, Lindblom's baseball team also hasn't lost a step. They are ready, they are better, and a lot of people seem to be excited about this upcoming year.
First off, this year's team seems to be rejuvenated with a new identity. They aren't a pushover anymore. After coming one game short of being the regional champions, and also making the city playoffs, the Eagles got back into action and have been working every day since the middle of December. “We are working hard. Hard work beats talent any day,” new head coach Chris Brown said.
As expected, the players did not take any days off during the off season. Sophomore Tristan Hannah said, “Last years defeat made me want to work harder than ever. So every single day I pushed myself to become better than the next person."
Last year, Lindblom made school history by making it to the city playoffs, however this year they are trying to be the first Lindblom baseball team to ever make it to the city playoffs two years in a row, and also win conference two years in a row. This year, they were moved up to tougher competition. However, everyone on the team is certain that they will win conference. The season starts in mid-March. Be there to support them on their rise to becoming a dominant force in Chicago. They are certainly well prepared and mentally ready for it. Go Eagles.
