Lindblom has had a lot of partnerships in the recent years, and one has been with the World Chicago group. They have sent Principal-for-a-Day Peggy Parfenoff to Lindblom as one of the great deals of the partnership. Recently the organization gave Lindblom a great opportunity to have actual exchange students come live with some of the current Lindblom students.
Eighth grader Mensa Ali Ligon and senior Karina Reyes were two of the students that participated in the exchange. Karina said that it was an amazing opportunity. “The experience helped me learn so much more about the Islamic and Arab culture; it was fun and I learned way more than I would have in the classroom,” she said. The traditions of the exchange students made Karina feel the difference between our two nations.
Principal Mather said he feels that these kinds of programs are beneficial for all involved.
“It was an important experience and it was great for Lindblom,” he said.
The recent program is great for Lindblom’s relationship with the World Chicago organization. Lindblom is happy to have this opportunity with World Chicago and to have exposure to foreign exchange students.
