Run by Ms. Gatchel with help from Ms. Salazar, the College Career Center is located on the third floor in room 327. This room is great for when you need to fill out college applications and scholarships, type up some homework or to print when the library’s printer is down.
The College Career Center is open during all periods as long as there is a teacher present. Ms. Salazar and Ms. Gatchel were both interms here at Lindblom last year. The two mainly focus on helping the senior class with the stresses of college applications, fees, waivers and so on to make sure they are successful after graduation. If you ever need help or advice, you can also find Ms. Salazar and Ms. Gatchel in the counselors suite on the first floor.
One senior who wanted to remain anonymous said, “I don’t like the college career center at all. It's never open, I can never get in contact with Ms. Gatchel, and I feel like I won't be able to get the information for my future. Bring back Ms. Andrews.”
However, Terri McFadden stated, “I believe that the college career center is very helpful for when I need to print out homework or college related stuff.”
I guess you could say that there are definitely conflicted attitudes about the college career center.
